Resources to Find a Lost Pet
On the L.A. Animal Services website you can search for a pet within their system. You can also contact the West L.A. Shelter at 888-452-7381 or go to 11361 West Pico Blvd. This is also a great place to adopt a pet. On Facebook, Lost and Found Paws in Los Angeles will post pics where many people share. If you are on NextDoor.com, post there as well, so that neighbors will be alerted.
The best way by far to recover lost pets is to make sure they have the proper tags. We strongly encourage microchipping your pet. Read about microchipping here. In addition to a license tag, most larger pet supply stores like Centinela Feed, Petco and PetSmart have machines that create a custom metal tag with your pet’s name and your phone number. Do it today. After your pet runs away, it may be too late.
